Arabian Journal for Population Studies

A semi-annual academic journal, issued by the Saudi Association for Population Studies in Arabic and English, and specialized in population research and studies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in particular, and the Arab world in general.

 

The journal aims to:

  1. Publish original and innovative scientific research on population and development in the Arab world,
  2. Contribute to addressing contemporary population issues in the Arab world in a professional way,
  3. Encourage researchers of distinguished world universities to investigate population issues in the Arab world and contribute to finding innovative scientific solutions,
  4. Build scientific capabilities of Arab researchers and present their efforts to the local and international academic community,
  5. Strengthen intellectual and academic links among researchers interested in population in the Arab world, and
  6. Introduce new books and purplish summaries of university theses and reports of academic seminars and conferences.
     

Publishing rules in the Arab Journal of Population Studies:

  1. The Journal publishes all innovative and original studies and research on population and development issues in the Arab world, which have never been published or submitted for publication in other journals,
  2. The research and studies shall conform to the academic standards in terms of style, methodology, language, academic presentation, and documentation of references and sources using the methods prescribed in the Journal’s documentation rules,
  3. The research or study shall be (30) pages maximum, line font (14)- Traditional Arabic for Arabic Research - and Times New Roman font (12) for English,
  4. The research document shall be submitted in Word MS format, Windows environment,
  5. The research or study shall have two abstracts; one in Arabic and one in English, with 200 words maximum for each version,
  6. The research document shall be enclosed with a brief curriculum vitae (CV) of the researcher,
  7. The Editorial Board shall inform researchers with the reception date of their research, as well as of the final decision of publication,
  8. The researcher or principal investigator shall be granted (5) copies of the journal,
  9. The Journal shall possess all copyright rights as of the publication date, and
  10. The researches shall be delivered on behalf of the Editor-in-Chief.
     

Documentation rules in the Arab Journal for Population Studies:

  1. The (name, date: page) system is followed in documenting references within the research text body. In case of having more than one reference by the same researcher, the year is mentioned before the page. However, in the reference list, the year is written in parentheses immediately after the researcher's name.
  2. The research references and sources shall be documented at the end of the document and ordered alphabetically in Arabic or English in two separate lists.
  3. The American Psychological Association (APA) system shall be followed in documenting the researches.
